The SLG Story
Innovating outdoor living since 2006.
On a cold February morning nearly two decades ago, two competing companies met at 9am at a Starbucks in Littleton to explore the value of combining into one company. Each respective company was quite formable with unique strengths and weaknesses; however, they quickly realized that if the two companies combined, it would strengthen the strengths and greatly reduce the weaknesses as they would complement each other nicely. By the end of the meeting, the team had the dream of becoming the number one landscaping company and build a brand that will last for generations to come.
This is where the name Sequoia came from: the Sequoia tree is the tallest tree in the world, extremely resilient, and lives for thousands of years.
After the name was agreed upon, the real work began, and our work has continued every day for the past 17 years.
Through the years we have experienced growing pains and faced many normal challenges of a small business. This experience has reminded us that we are not perfect, but we are continuously learning and growing to provide you with the best value, quality and service.
KEEPING SLG GREEN
Since our founding, we have been committed to creating designs that complement the picturesque canvas that our state provides. We implement practices that will work with, and not against, nature. To support our sustainability goals:
SLG designs and installs irrigation systems with water conservation best practices.
We plant more than 20,000 trees and plants per year.
SLG is working with carbon reduction consultants to determine best practices to reduce our carbon footprint, find creative recycling paths, and reduce waste.
We launched a roadside cleaning initiative.
